Thank you Sweden!

I just wanted to send a Forum Thanks to all the folks that were at the Furuvik Scandinavian Country Music Festival this past week. Randy Reinhard & I met so many wonderful people there and we had a blast performing for those folks. They love traditional country there and were more than kind to us the entire week!

As many of you know there are several steelers and other country musicians there in Sweden and in the Netherlands area as well. We were also treated to a performance by the great Don Helms who was there working with Jett Williams and they put on a great show.

We were joined by the Jill King band (Jill did an awesome job!) and those guys did an incredible job of backing us. Many thanks to Dave (drums), Bobby (bass), Chris (guitar) and Suzanne (fiddle) of Nashville.

Also on the show was Jolie Edwards, Elizabeth Cook and Marty Stuart. All did an excellent job!

I just want to say that it was so cool to hear Randy blow doors on his '65 wrap and to have so many people respond the way they did to him. They knew he was coming and he had a nice reception group afterwards as well. It was a real treat to be able to take him with me and to have a steeler be billed as an artist on the show. We met many friends there both old and new and look forward to going back, hopefully soon!

I cannot say enough good things about the hospitality of the Swedish people. The weather was perfect, the food was awesome and the folks were extremely kind. Hard-core traditional country music fans! It was an incredible trip and one we will remember forever.
