Does anyone know if Mark Chesnutt has a steel guitarist in his current touring band, and who that might be? He has dates in Texas next week including the Red Poppy Festival in Georgetown, Texas, on Saturday, April 16th. Thinking of going to the show.

Thanks, Ted

Wow, Mark Chesnutt's version of Rollin' With the Flow
sounds so nice and easygoing.
I think Mark is the most underrated singer. He should be up there with the likes of Alan Jackson and George Strait.
Great voice, great interpreter.

About 1976 I had taken a club job in Lexington, Ky. A friend of mine came up to me and said he had a group he had gotten aquainted with in Japan and invited them to come over to the US so he could take them around and sit in with local groups and get a handle on what's going on with music at the time. He tells me only one of them can speak english and they have a steel player. I brought them up for a couple of songs and pointed to my steel and amp guesturing that is's OK to set the settings have ever he wants. He was introduced to me as "Slim". The drummer counted down and I have never heard pickin' like that at time any where. The crowd would not let them quit. It turned out to be Silm Yamaguchi. They sang the songs in perfect english, but didn't know what they were saying. Thats my story about "Slim"
