Good stuff Andre'. I had no idea that these styles of American music were so popular and with such good players in Europe. Wow, what a lucky guy you are. One nite you play behind the blond Elsa and the next nite, the brunette Lil Linn.
Which is why most of us guys took up guitar in the first place.

Ha ha thanks and thats true Stephen, playing behind these
beaitiful girls is great, there doing à great job,
i dont know if the music itself is soo popular over here,
most of the people whos into these vintage
music styles is into Rockabilly, but they seem to enjoy our
country touch to the music, we are just a bunch of
nerd musicians who love this 40s-50s style music Ha ha
And of course it doesnt hurt to have à beautiful
girl up front, that way all these drunk guys who
seems to like Status Quo and Deep Purple most
of all seem to dig our thing too,
Ever since i lived in the States back in 1998 ive
been more and more fascinated with this style of country,
its such a great music so if you do it well,
anyone will like it i guess, i started playing steel about 2,5-3 years
ago and its such à beautiful instrument so you just
cant stop playing it

Great, great stuff there Andre. I have always loved the Western Swintg and the music that borders on it. One of the first tunes I remember as a kid when I was taking Hawaiian guitar lessons in 1948 was "I Wanna Be A Cowboy's Sweetheart", not by LeAnn Rimes, not by Rosalie Allen., but by Patsy Montanna. To this day, I like Bill Boyd and, Prairie Ramblers, Bob Wills, Asleep At The Wheel, Bob Dimm et a;/
Keep up the good work.

More great stuff Andre, keep it coming.
It really shouldn't surprise you that the rockabilly folks like that...the rockabilly guys borrowed heavily from old swing and country.
I love that midrange from the trap PU's...what amp are you playing through on the live in France clip? |

Thanks Jon
yeah the times has changed, i remember the early 90s, the Rockabilly
crowds in Europe were all dressed in black leather, motorcykle boots and threw beer bottles at you if they even heard à Steel guitar back then ha ha
all they wanted was this crazy teen Rockabilly/ slap Bass Rock n roll Stray Cats type music, the cowboy style was not very popular, its good its changed,
I really dont remember what i used that night, i only brought my instrument along
i think it was the Bassman 4-10" you see in the back, pretty crunchy sound !!

Thanks George
I appreciate it, yes im a big Western Swing fan too
of course, i mostly played jazz guitar for many
years but i grew tired of all that modern stuff, and started to play steel instead, the old styles music always has more soul and feeling to it. That was what we tried to capture On our CD, ouTou can hear tons of modern western swing band recordings with that digital clean horrible sound, it just dont feel right. Our recordings were made with just one michrophone for the band and another for the song, its tricky
you have to play everything right cause you dont get à second chance of course but thats just fun
