I have a sheet of pg plastic. It is 12 x 12 inches. Black white black.
What Id like to know is what is the best tools and best way to cut this material so it has smooth edges with a finished pro look? Can anyone help?

If you have a router (or better yet a router table) that's the absolute best way. Make up a pattern from MDF and double stick the rough cut pickguard material to it. Use a beveled or 1/8" round over bit with a follower to trim it.
Or, you can cut it out with a coping saw and spend hours with a sanding block and 10 grades of sandpaper and it still won't look as good. |

Mike I tried your method and after a couple of tryes
The pick guard worked out. Can only get better with more practice.
