Marc was a Real friend to me.
After 12 years we made contact.
The mrs. had breast cancer, and I don't exactly know what happened.
I am sure I did,or didn't do something I should have.

I also wonder if he still fly's to work.Or maybe bought the co.

I'll take all the leads I can get.
Thank you in advance.

Marcus has been truly jazzed to hear from Bill and another old compadre who saw this thread. He's encouraged me to post his website address for the benefit of any other of his old musical friends who may be on the Forum:

http://digitalhidef.com/

If that address looks a little tech-y for a steel player, it's because he's one of the pre-eminent videotape technician/editors in the country and a recognized authority and author. (We work together at CBS Television City/LA where I am neither an icon of pedal steel nor a highly-compensated videotape librarian.)

Marcus is in this June 1977 Jeffran School (tall dark-haired guy to the right of the Jeffran sign) group shot from the late Al Marcus' website:

thanks for helping.
He also is glad to find others he used to know.

Marcus had the first steel I ever touched.
He bought me a $125.00 tuner in 78.
Said you'll be playing steel one day.
he surely helped change my life around when I got Stuck in N,cal.
He also got me the job tiling Burt Reynolds home
in Beverly Hills.
He is a game changer.Maybe I can get him back into Pedal steel.

Thanks again.
