Herby and I have been friends for many years and have occasionally lamented his lack of work in the Dollywood area. In a previous post I made what I intended to be an innocent joke. Apparently I offended some people. For that, I sincerely apologize. I most certalnly meant no harm or disrespect to anyone. And, I would never want to be responsible for turning this forum into a character assassination vehicle. Again, please forgive me.

Clyde, anybody with any sense would have known you were kidding! Herby is one of the all-time greats, and you're a knockout player your own self. The only problem ANYBODY ought to have with either of you guys' playing, is that we don't get to hear enough of it! |

I smiled as soon as I read your post on the other thread - not for one instant did I take it wrongly, and I'm amazed that anyone would fail to see the joke.
I did the same on here once - used a little light-hearted banter - only to fall foul of one of the handful of Forumites who have had a 'humor-bypass' (or weren't smart enough to read properly!)
Herby 'got it' immediately, too that's the main thing, as did the majority who read it.
I look forward to hearing you play one day....
Best,
