A friend of mine sent me this email looking for a version of Bud's Bounce;
"Hey Ben: There is a certain version of Bud's Bounce I'm looking for. I thought maybe you could help me. The closest version that I can find is the one that Tom Bromley did With Buck Owens.
Thats a Pretty straight version. In other words the version that I'm looking for doesn't have a Western Swing feel to it."
Does anyone know who's version of this fits this request?

| I first played my version of "Bud's Bounce" on an A6th tuning with A & B pedals on a Fender 1000. Over the years it seems everyone plays it a little differen't depending on what tuning is used, especially the Bridge. I can't remember Bud's original recording. |

I have a version I did for non-pedal with an E9 tuning that has more of a Buckaroos feel than Bud Isaacs.

Neil Flanz played so many different riffs and styles and was truly amazing. I used to trade steel guitar cassette tapes with a guy in Canada who mailed me back a ton of Neil Flanz recordings. Great tone and I spent many hours trying to copy all that stuff.

| Buddy Emmons' version on the "Buddy Emmons- Steel Guitar" (Flying Fish) is pretty definitive as well, imho. But if you want the original it'd be Bud Isaccs, of course. |
