Hi guys, I have a GFI student model which has a pull-release changer system. Do you guys know how I could move the C pedal change onto the RKL lever? I was able to move the rods and set it up, however I couldn't seem to get enough travel on the 4th string to pull it all the way to an F#. In order to lengthen the travel I put the rod in the changer hole closest to the body, and the in bellcrank hole farthest from the body. This helped get me closer, but it wasn't quite enough. Will i need to adjust the 4th string pull relese spring or move it's rod to another hole? I can't figure out how to work this situation out on this string, there sure are alot of variables on a pull-release 4th string! Here is the default rodding chart:

Look at the lever itself, and/or the cross rod it is attatched to (it's probably not a rod or changer issue).
Usually there is an allen screw that limits how far the LKL can move to the left, and it was probably set for only a half-step raise.
Usually the issue is that you need to loosen that screw to allow the lever to move farther to the left, allowing for a full step raise.
fwiw, I also have the C-pedal on a lever, but I only raise the 4th string E>F#, because I already have the string-5 B>C# on the A-pedal. |

Thanks Pete, I will try that. Any ideas for what I can do with the C pedal once I moved the F# change to the lever? (PS: I realized I had a typo in my earlier post. I said I wanted it on LKL, I really meant was RKL) |
