I Just bought this S-10 Sho-Bud, The serial number is stamped underneath the key head end in the metal and the wood. The number is 1861. I can't find anything on this serial number from Sho-Bud. The volume and tone knobs were removed so that two additional knee levers could be added. I am not looking to sell, just would like to know the year of manufactor and anything else about this Instrument.

I agree it is a '71 or '72 Most likely a Model # 6139. Late sixties models were "wrap around tail piece" I believe. The volume and tone controls disappeared from the step deck somewhere before '74.
Beautiful guitar btw! _________________ Dana Blodgett
