I listened to the whole presentation and found it quite interesting. Most don't realize how complete the steel guitar can be and you handle it very nicely. Again my compliments for taking steel guitar to a different level.

Susan, with the type of music you play do you read from the dots?

Tony, are you talking about those little dots with the lines sticking out? I don't know if you can see in the video, but I was the only one there who didn't have a music stand. I can read music (though I'm not much of a sight reader), but I learn and compose by ear (on the steel guitar). I write it down into tablature to remember where it is on the steel guitar. Only later do I write it into a score with musical notation. So with something like Kalimankou Denkou, I listened very carefully to the vocal version by the Bulgarian Women's Choir and adapted it note for note to our instrument. Also, my memory is not that good - if it was, I wouldn't have to constantly search my apartment for the car keys I'm holding in my hand.
