I recently acquired an older PV LTD 400 with no reverb tank - I purchased a tank that has the in/out molex jacks marked , but the amp chassis does not have those designations - one jack has a piece of green tape by it ? . . Any info on what would be the in or out jacks on the amp ? . . The reverb works either way the connections are made , I would just like to get it right . . Thanks . _________________ The only things in life I truly hate - fleas , fruit flies , and building furniture |

Frank, my experience in this situation is turn the volume up and listen. The way you get the least hum is the correct connection. _________________ LeGrande II, Nash. 112, Fender Twin Tone Master, Session 400, Harlow Dobro, R.Q.Jones Dobro |

Here is the easy way to check that:
plug in two RCA cables to the amp's reverb jacks on the underside of the chassis.
Lay those out the back of the amp
turn the amp on and turn up the reverb control to 3-6 level
touch the tips of the two RCA jacks
The one that makes a lot of noise is the reverb return cable
That cable connects to the reverb tank's output.
The tank is installed with the RCA connections on the tank facing towards the front on the amp. The reverb tank output in then on your right and the reverb tank input is on the left side (directly under the power transformer) |
