Hi my fellow steelers
Here is one of my earlier renditions of a melody that is a reminder of the earlier years of what became known as "Sacred Steel". During the 1940s, into the 1950s, there was a small church on the corner of Garfield, and Rivard streets, in Detroit, Michigan, that seemed to be packed with musicians, and singers. This hearty group left a legacy that even lasts to this very day. Even though it is long gone, as even the streets are also gone. The remnant of grandchildren, great grandchildren, and so forth are still carrying the tradition on, in the various organizational churches that they are a part of.

Always great to hear from you! I know you`ve been busy supporting and participating bOb`s CD project. I trust that it will be a tremendous testament to the talent that are members of this forum!
Yes!!!, that grin on my face is really a look of surprise that the background turned out halfway right! As you took note on the Valentine`s day thing, and bOb`s project, sometimes "things" just dont go as planned!
Also, I was just a little sprite, in those days, but I recall so much about those formulative years of my life. If I could have recorded anything, it would probably have to be replayed on one of those wire recorders!!!!
