Buddy always looked like he was having the time of his life playing--what a way to make a living! |

Incredible! Buddy just makes you feel good about playing the steel. Just when you'd expect some kind of C6 break, he kills on the E neck. Also, poke around some of the other Troubadour videos there, they're all great. Thanks Cartwright.

Fantastic ! What does he do at 2:10 ? looks like he reaches for a pedal with his right foot , not one of your standard E9 pedals .
He looks so relaxed and having so much fun like he doesn't have to concentrate at all . |

He's got the first and second pedals already down
with his left foot and is bringing his right foot over
to the third pedal.

Notice that the lick at the end of the one in question uses an E to F string move...Probably a half feel on the C pedal....This clip is probably a few years before the lever became standard, the idea for a E to F move was clearly in Buddy's head at the end of his solo..........Paul |

Check out Buddy's blocking with the ring finger on his right hand. Amazing...
And listen to the fills on the first verse. _________________ My best,

Love the very last comments by Earnest and the Emcee -- "pretty loud in here..." "Yes it is!"
Priceless... _________________ I need an Emmons! |

I noticed the hip action during the break. Was this not a pre knee lever era? Looked like he was surely doing some fancy footwork! _________________ Whip Lashaway

I asked Buddy about it a while back and Russ is correct, he was reaching over for pedal 3 with his right foot. _________________ My best,
