i have a 1937 or so, Epiphone Electar double 8 console steel that did not come with legs. There are rubber feet and flockng on the bottom, doesn't look like it ever had legs. Any suggestions on where to get legs for this? I would prefer not to have to bore big holes in the guitar. Suggestions much appreciated! |

Here's some pics:
unf. I don't have pics of the bottom right now.
Michael do you know of any good sources for flush mount legs? also, how will it fit into its case with the leg mounts attached?
Anyone have good luck with any brand of key board stands or something similar? the leg options I have found seem to cost close to $200, I'd love to keep on the cheap if possible. |

steve, don't know much about the PUPs, they do sound good though, as far as I can tell. I've heard some say the output is low and they should be rewound, I have not gigged with it yet, and it is my first non-pedal steel. L.T. Zinn plays the same model and I think has had the pickups either rewound or replaced.
Here's a youtube vid of L.T. Zinn playing this model as good as anyone.

Dave, I've been meaning to ask when a good time for a non-pedal lesson might be.
Thanks everyone for your helpful responses! |

I could make you a custom stand for your steel. It would be very compact and look good too. I can send you photos tomorrow if you want more info. _________________ www.deluxe34.com lap steel stands, Clinesmith, Gibson Console Grande, Northwesterns, The Best Westerns
