broken tuner on my Gold Tone PBS

Post by Marco Deijmann »

Hi All,

Few day's ago I had an accident with my Gold Tone PBS dobro and broke one of
my tuners. The knob was broken off when falling on the street with my guitar in on my back...

Does anyone know what kind of tuners they are? I like to use exact the same ones as orgiginal.

Here's a pict:

thanks,

Tuners

Marco---Those look like Grover tuners to me. Order them from Guitar Fetish.com. Or maybe you can get them from your local music shop. Chances are you will have to spring for six as they usually dont sell in singles.

Try calling Goldtone. Phone: (321) 264-1970 I bet they would send you one.

FWIW, mine are stamped "Jinko" and it looks as if yours may be stamped the same.

A couple of the tuners on my Goldtone have been slipping and I was wanting to replace them with better ones. Could they be Schallers? Like these:

I think the Beard resos use the Schaller locking ones. I could be wrong. Anyone with a Beard know?
Cheers.
