So years ago I bought a goodrich L10K with my first steel, stopped using it due to noisiness, replaced the pot with a dunlop hot pot 500K, still noisy. (what is the use of the 10k model anyway? is it designed to be used at line level in an effects loop?) So, with my other ernie ball pedal on the fritz, I took apart the goodrich pedal and removed the little circuit in there, so it's just a pot and jacks, put it back together. Sounds great, no noise, but one problem: the axle is too loose, and the pedal is at rest in the full on position and won't stay in the off position, any suggestions about tightening the axle a little so it stays in the off position and/or will hold position with my foot off? The ernie ball pedal did this great but is the stereo panner model and a total pain to work on so I'd rather have a bare bones pedal i can fix and adjust easily until maybe I get the scratch for a hilton......

I fussed with one for a while and ended up cramming foam in between the sides of the top and bottom... not purty, but it wurked.
