Actually a '53 - a warm and lively guitar set up for fingerstyle just as I like them! I've wanted one of these for about fifty years now, so it's a dream come true. It'll live harmoniously with my other Martins, including a '47 000-18 and a '27 0-18.

It's such a relief that the seller's description was completely accurate; it's in amazing condition for a fifty-eight year old!

Wow! That is really something. It looks to be in super nice shape. Congratulations! I will now clean the drool off my keyboard.

That's a beautiful guitar. Built the same year I was! I've always wanted either a 000 or an OM.

Congrats, Roger. I really learned to play on a sweet '46 000-18. In the 80's I sold it to finance a Mesa Boogie amp. Not my best move ever. It was a phenomenal guitar, as I'm sure yours are. Enjoy!

Thanks, guys - I'm really delighted with it.

These aren't the greatest photos, I'm afraid (the middle one is from the listing). I've never quite learned how to best photograph guitars; it's quite an art. (Maybe I should have waited until daylight at least!)

'000's are my favourites, although I do have that newer '0000' (or 'M') that's in the background; that's my working acoustic and it has an excellent on-board pre-amped p/up with a soundhole tone/volume control. I've never enjoyed Dreadnoughts very much, and part of my prejudice is against their looks - they seem a bit clumsy and indelicate somehow. I do have one tucked away somewhere, though.
