I always dug the soul Stoney Edwards put into every song he sang and at the same time in a hard country style. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VizY9Qxf4F8&playnext=1&list=PL4282096AEA3F89DD&index=4 AND: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nZBaw-G5MVo&feature=related

Hey Steve, you are so right about Stoney. I got to know him very well here in Okc. He used to come out to my club and get up and sing with us a lot, we became good friends. My steel player Doug Campbell (who is gone now) was on several of Stoneys records. One of my favorites i I'm going home one bar at a time and i still do that song a lot. He used to work a lot around here. He was not only a great singer he was also a good man, and we miss him. I'm so glad you brought him up. Later guys, db

Great stuff . The one about Hank and Lefty is similar to Merle's That's The Way It Was In '51 . Wonder which one came first ?
