Peavey Databass amp for steel

anyone ever play out with one of these?
just played a few notes thru it and it sounds good. Iv'e only used mine for bass gigs now and then. Just put it up for sale on craigs list as I just purchased a SWR baby blue. But I never gave the Databass a try with the steel. Seems like it might be a killer amp for steel. There hard to come by. The original 15" BW can be replaced with a Eminence neodymium which I hear will improve bottom end and handle the 450 watts as well. Also cut the weight considerably. Wondering if I should hang on to this puppy
