The Quad Cities Show is a fun time for all who love steel guitar! Be sure to put it on your calendars and join us April 24 at the historic Col Ballroom in Davenport, Iowa. Kirk's earlier comment reminds me this show is one of three regional upper midwest shows occurring in the spring each year, e.g., NE IA Steel Gtr Jam (W'loo end of February), Dairy State Jam (near end of March), and the Quad Cities Show (near end of April). Maybe this should be coined 'The Upper Midwest Spring Circuit' Image.
We're glad Russ and Laney will fill in for Hal--they are super performers and an outstanding team! And Hal, we're praying for your speedy recovery! ...lefty

Too many people to thank for a great weekend....I won't start naming names so as not to leave anyone out, but you all know who you are...wonderful room, very very fine band, very fine steelers....no fun to follow any of them...special thanks to my friend and fellow steeler Dean Dobbins for suppling the "goodies" at our wrap party...to Bruce and Karen for the "Boat".....To the Picketts for everything...to Jerome for his extra time with the charts...like I said, it was a great weekend and I'm sure Hal will find out what I'm talking about when he goes up next year.
Thanks again to all you guys.
Much Love,
Russ and Laney

This was the first time that I was able to hear Russ Hicks and Laney. What a great couple, musically and personnaly. Had a great time playing at the jam and being back at the infamous Col Ballroom. Years ago when we played there once a month, it was normal to have 500 people dancing and enjoying themselves. Will it ever come back around? Kim and I have gained many invaluable friendships since I have been involved in the steel world. I can't say enough about you guys! Thanks for your friendship and talents and assistance. Looking forward to next year.
