A year and a half ago I did a session for local Alt/Country Singer/Songwriter Justin Morrissey. I had only been playing steel for about two and a half years. Im a little hesitant to post this because there are some parts I would dearly love to do again but I think the guy is a great songwriter and worth a listen.

Im playing guitar on tracks 1 & 7 and steel guitar on tracks 2, 3, 5 & 8.

hey people for those of you always looking for something new to listen to or just check out i think this is. the song writing is positive and my
friend chuck who has only been playin'?? not very
long is just soakin the steel up like a sponge.

Joachim, Thank you very much - yes that is me playing lead on tracks 1 & 7. I believe A.J. Steil is playing lead on all the other tracks and that he and Justin Morrisey are playing the acoustic and rhythm parts. I came into the project after all the other parts had been laid down.

I have been playing guitar off and on since I was a kid and Im an old phart now. I sure wish steel guitar was as easy to play :oops:

I have been working on tuning, intonation and tone quite a bit since the parts were cut and it has improved somewhat.....sometimes...... :lol:

I stumbled across this one on the internet and I must say, this CD is a very nicely produced album.
The production is slightly low-key (and I don't mean out of tune :lol: ) and very relaxing.
Chuck's steel playing and 6-stringer riffs fit nicely in this type of album...as they say: True americana in the heart of the american midwest. Nice playing, Chuck!

Thanks Peter for the kind words and encouragement. Playing live with Justin is a blast too. Very loose.
