I'm wondering if anyone could tell me where I might be able to find a new base for my Lawrence 705 pickup. The plastic has cracked compromising its ability to stay in place properly. My effort with a bottle of super glue proved to be a very temporary fix.
Thanks!

I remember at one time making a new base for a 705 out of a 4" square Carlon (plastic) outlet box cover that you can find in the electrical department of any home improvement store. It wasn't hard to do at all. |

I made one out of a scrap piece of formica that I picked up at a local cabinet shop. It was strong and was easy to shape. It's lasted 2 years, so far. _________________ Best regards,

Thanks Roger. Thanks Mike. I liked your ideas for fashioning your own and found the perfect piece of plastic. It worked great! |
