Little Suzie Smith-Shades of Green Pond Slime
Between 2.56 and 3.20

I like to write tab and figure things out. I might even learn something myself. And I love helping people. But am I, the only one that can see and feel the disrespect, for my meager ability, in a request of this type.

1. Who is Susie whats her name.
2. Is this the only song she did, the only time she did it.
3. Do you want me to go buy the CD to help you.

How about some tab help. A pointer, so I or another tab writer doesn't have to spend precious(tab writing) time tracking down what you want done. For free, I might add! Are you surprised your requests are going unanswered?

All it would take is a link to a youtube or a pico file of exactly what you want. And you must know what it is we need, you took the time to find it, stop it, and get the timing marks.

Help us out here, OK... And by the way, this isn't the first time I've mentioned this.

Now, I have friends and family that, if they read this will say, Dick get in there and take you meds. And I will, but that will not alter the truth, being, we need a minimal amount of help to help you. Now to get them meds!

If you want to post a link to a youtube that you might want help with...

1. Open the Youtube page your interested in.
2. At the very top of your browser, there will be an "Address Window", in it will be the internet address of the page you are on, normally starting with http://.
3. Position you mouse curser/pointer in this window to the far left or right of the Address. Left click and drag your curser across the address to "Highlight" the address.
4. Now, with the curser/pointer positioned in the highlighted area, RIGHT click your mouse. A pull down window will appear giving you several options. Scroll down and click on "copy". This placed that address in the "magic place" Laughing in your computer.
5. Now open the page where you want to paste your link. Left click so the blinking curser appears there, then right click and select paste from the pull down window. The "Link" will be posted to that place.
6. Test it by "Previewing" the page, it should appear in blue. Then "Submit" your page.
7. Done... Very Easy!

Hi Dick- just came across this posting...I'm not quite sure what the thing with Suzie is about, and I'm probably missing some point about this tabbing thing but whatever I am sure many in this forum really appreciate your regular tab contributions and your input. About the youtube tab/link thing, does this mean you are offering to help tab out something if someone sends you a link to it? Smile

Hi Matthew,
Not at all what I meant. I was just trying to point out, that if a player requests tab of a piece of music, a link to that piece would be a definite help to the tabber. Allowing the tabber not to waste time trying to find what was requested.

An example would be "Tab wanted: Help, I can't figure out the intro to Faded love @ :27 thru :29".

Can you understand why a person, maybe wanting to help, would have little idea what the person actually wanted. Because, Faded Love may have been done by a thousand singers a thousand way, and I may not own a copy of it.

Even if I could and wanted to help, I would probably ignore the post and move on to something else.

Tabbing is a lot of work...

The truth is, I get a lot more out of figuring out how the tab should be written, then most players get out of reading my tab. But I do hope a few enjoy it.

Merry Christmas!
