The Florida Steel Guitar Club's March 2004 Meeting/Steel Jam will be Wednesday, March 10th, 2004, at 6PM. Location is Catfish Johnny's Restaurant, CR470, Lake Panasoffkee, Fl. (our regular meeting/jam place).
The club is open to all interested Steelers and those interested in Steel Guitar. There are no Club membership fees and no admission fees to the Club Meetings/Jams.
For those that will be traveling to Florida, the FSGC Club holds monthly Meetings/Steel Jams the second Wednesday of each month. Lake Panasoffkee is exit 321 on I75, approximately 60 miles west of Orlando and about the same distance north of Tampa. We welcome all visitors. The club meeting announcement and a map showing Catfish Johnny's location is on Jack Stoner's web page.

Jennings, we will miss you. Our prayers are with you.

A reminder, that although most of the players use pedal steels, we usually have one or more lap steels and they are welcome too.

Jennings I wish you well on your recovery.

For those of you who can make our jam, we never know who may show up.
We last month had Smiley drop in and play a set and in the past Lynn Owsley did so as well as Ollie Strong.

I just want to thank all the 15 pickers who played last night and our great back-up band.
We are so lucky to have such great players to back us up.
We have yet to play with rhythm tracks at any of our jams and have no plans to do so.
So thanks to you all.

If I could add one thing.... Three of the pickers at the jam.... If I could just spend a couple hours neck-to-neck with them... Jack Dougherty, Jack Stoner, and Don Sulesky... Ok... start pickin'... Stop! How did you do that....

Ok... I know, but it would be pretty cool, wouldn't it. Image

Hi Wayne,
It was great having you pick with us also and you did a fine job on steel.
Thanks for traveling all the way from Georgia to spend a few hours with us.
It's guys like you who make our Florida Steel Guitar Club so much fun.
Hope to see you again.
