A student of mine has a Sho~Bud with a double-stop on the 4th and 8th string lowering the E to Dis-D.
It feels very natural as a change. Anyone using it on his/her axe?
Are there already possibilities to make a triple stop?
I was thinking E-D#-D-C#
(Maybe a fools thought.......) 
Mechanical/strings isues?

I have the E-D#-D lower on string 4 and 8. Don't use it quite as much as the E-F-F# raise on those strings, but both are very useful and handy changes.
Haven't found a smooth-working and precise half-stop or multi-stop mechanism/set-up on the market yet.
I use (re)movable end-stops for the lower and raise on mine. That mechanism occupies the vertical lever position, so although it is precise it isn't ideal.
Certainly wouldn't mind having E-D#-D-C# lower on that lever - to meet the raise on string 5 and 10. Someone has to come up with a precise multi-stop set-up for it to work though. |

The E to D# lower is such an essential change and I use it so much that I wouldn't want it on a half stop where I'd have to feel for it.
Could be cool on another lever or pedal maybe.
The multi-stop system is a cool concept. It could be done on a lower (such as the 2nd string) with two additional pull rods through lower holes on two different changer fingers that don't need to lower (maybe the 1st and 6th strings), which would have to be adjusted with LeGrande-style split tuning screws so they can't lower past the open tuned note. The pulls could be tuned to activate at different times, so the stops would be tunable with the hex nuts.

I have this change on my old Fender 400 using
a lever on right knee pulling left thru a
cross shaft . gives a good 7th - wish when I
rigged it that I put it on no.7 as well as 4.
As for the stop , it's in my knee joint .
Tuning is 1-8 ---D,C#,G#,E,B,G#,E,B --
WORKS FOR ME !
