I will be performing with the band Old Country Willie at the American Legion in Collinsville, IL on Sunday from 2-6 in the afternoon. It is located in the center of town on Vandalia Avenue which is the same as Highway 159. The name pretty well implies the type of music we will play, from the 40's to the early 80's. This is a public concert/dance that is the first sponsered by the Traditional Country Music Association of Illinois with more to come in the future. We were at the first get-to-gether a month or so ago and the support was overwhelming for the support of old country. If you get a chance, stop by and say hello.

That brings back the memories. I used to play there(probably new bldg by now) in the fortys with Skeets Yaney and others from the Pappy Cheshire gang. Wade Ray fiddled and sang for us quite a bit. Long drive from Granite City in a 36 ford coupe. CC
