At the Saturday night show Johnny Bush did a set with Emmons backing him on steel. What a great set. Johnnys voice was clear and he sang great. I had a friend with me who does not play steel but loves the sound. His wife is a big Johnny Bush fan. My friend called his wife on the cell phone and Johnny Bush was nice enough to talk to her on the phone. I had never met Johnny before but he must be a great individual. He certainly made a fan of his very happy. |

Glad you had such a great time, Paul.
Johnny was great at Scotty's in 2003, also with The Big E on steel. He stayed around for most of the weekend singing harmony on occasion and even did a set or two on the drums.

Paul, I wanted to thank you personally for hanging in there and doing such a terrific job on the 'skins'. You guys were just awesome and I wanted to let you know how much we appreciated the "good music". Not too many people can do a 3 day gig like you guys did. Thanks.

Yes JB was great playing and singing with Big E at Scotty's,
but I also saw him playing some good drums in one of the small rooms with Johnny Cox on bass. |
