Wi-Fi Question
I’m set up wireless using a Mac Mini -- OS 10.6.5 with an Apple Airport Extreme 802.11n Wi-Fi
I have two WPA2 personal networks - password protected -- My Question Is -- I have an older iMac -- OS 10.3.11 -- I can’t get it to connect , I keep getting a flag saying - the password is incorrect .
No mater what I try it keeps coming out the same -- right now i cant see the forest for the trees -- could this be one of the dreaded Hexadecimal hang ups . for what its worth everyone else can hook up with the password -- it just this one stupid iMac -- What am i missing ??????
Thanks for any help

Some things you could try:
Re-set the router. (power it off for 30 seconds and then turn it back on.)
If it is a hex problem, try putting a $ before the password in the router settings.
If you're not allowing all MAC addresses, make sure the one for the computer in question is allowed.
Try a different router, if possible. Airport isn't really the best thing Apple ever came out with. _________________ C#

I think you may have hit on what i need to do -- I was just wondering why other computers can hook up with no apparent problem and this one not -
it may require the authorization you mention
Thanks Cal

The fix / correction to the wi-fi question
in setting up the system WPA2 network was selected -- when it should have been WPA/WPA2 .
the WPA2 requires /or /only allows registered clients to join the network .
Thanks Cal -- you lead me in the right direction --
I really don’t understand all I know about these &(*&^%$ machines
