What raises on the 2nd string D# are used?
Always looking for variety in tunings and copedents in our wonderful world of steel. Very Happy

Here's the second string raised a half tone used in a short riff:

Hear It!

And here's the same change used in a song:

Thats All That Matters To Me

Eb to E
F# to G#
Pulls from 5 to 1
Sounds cool and gives you 2 unison notes

Found another one that features a more diminished sound in the intro to Sweet Memories:

Hear It!

Greg,

Thanks for these excellent posts!

I have the 1st and 2nd string raise on one guitar now.
I also lower 6 with a half stop at unison with 1, before it raises 2.
I really like this change now.

Im tempted to add it on my other guitars too now.
They just raise 1 a whole and lower 6 a half.

Clete, It's always hard to decide what stays and what goes when it comes to knee lever changes.

Brad, all of these tabs are available for free at my web site, most in pdf format. Some people have printed them out and made a nice book out of them.

I'll dig out a few more of less common uses of the 1st string raise and post below.

I don't have any of these tabs sorted in order on my site so visitors have to browse through them and pick what they like. Quite a few have started playing C6th tuning more after having some cool riffs laid out for it. they just got curious and started clicking on the "other" tabs.

A few of the offbeat 1st string whole tone raise changes:

Hear tab 638!

Hear tab 610!

Hear tab 611!

Guess I lost the tabs for the 2nd and 3rd audio files above...oops.
