other related questions I dare to ask:
how do the two lines compare, from experienced users' perspectives?
how do the older models/specimens compare to the newer model/most recent ones?
I know the reputation and user satisfaction level is very, very high overall, but are there "niches" or "eras" of Mullens?
given that a psg is to a degree a mechanical device, I can't help thinking that advances in technology should be making new psgs progressively better and better ....? (or is that too hot a potato to start lobbing around?)
opinions invited... |

Having owned a pre RP and an RP during the same time period (still own the pre RP D-10), I much prefered the earlier model as far as tone and stability were concerned. It is my understanding that when the RP was introduced, Herby Wallace requested that the original continue to be manufactured and sold through his store (with the addition of a few upgrades), as the "HWP" model. |
