Dorian, Phrygian, Lydian, Mixolydian, Aeolian, Locrian.
I want to know accending & decending about above scales. Why r the diffarent naming? And what is the semilarety and diffarence with each other among tham?

The explanation in the link above is pretty good. As far as the names, they are taken from ancient Greek names, although they are not exactly the same as the scales the Greeks were using.
