I currently use a Line 6 POD XT effects unit, and I am buying a Peterson Strobo Flip Tuner. How is the best way to set it up, before or after the POD? Will it affect the sound/tone going through the tuner?
I like to tune without coming through the amp.
Your input is appreciated and thanks in advance for your help!!!

I see you have a Hilton pedal. If you're only using one output to your amp, use the other for your tuner. That's what I do. |

Steve, that's the kind of advice I was looking for. I would have never thought of that. I guess being a "rookie" really shows.
Thanks so much!!!

I put mine next inline from pickup on guitar, before volume pedal and can't tell any difference when using battery but I get a hum when I use power supply for the Peterson. Just turn it on when tuning and batteries last for about 6 months or more. _________________ Henry Matthews

Definitely do NOT have the Pod or any other effects between the volume pedal and the tuner. Some effects, especially chorus, make all tuners go wacko. _________________ I give music lessons on several different instruments in Cambridge, NY (between Bennington, VT and Albany, NY). I stopped using the power supply altogether. Too noisy. I just use (rechargeable) batteries now. |

Guitar cable from the Pod headphone output to the tuner input. You may need to turn off effects for tuning (easy and visible on the buttons of the Pod), and your volume pedal will need to be at least slightly "open". |
