We'd just like to thank Roger Osbourn and all the members of the NEOSGA for a wonderful time at their jam Saturday nite. What a crowd and what a line up of talent. The highlite of the evening had to be Scott Henderson and his "82" Dekley. He and his wife Teresa made the trip down from Missouri and just blew everyone away. All the players were just great, Virgil Pittman, Jerry Roller, Mike Spaeth, Bobby Garrett, Tim McCutchen, Jerry Newberry, Austin Stewart and the NEOSGA President, Roger Osbourn. All the back-up musicians did a great job with everyone. Good to see Dan Sliter and his wife(Lilly) there, Clovis Richards and his wife Vivian, several other pickers from Arkansas and Oklahoma. Just to many to name them all. Boys and Girls if you missed this one, better make plans for the April 24th convention cause it don't get no better than this. Remember this is a free convention so there's no excuse for not being there! Thank you NEOSGA.

Roger Osbourn (President NEOSGA)Opportunity is missed by most people because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work.

The Jam was a good one. Roger and the club really puts a lot of time into it. I thought Tim's set was VERY good. The playing was good and the tone was GREAT. Keep it up Tim. Roller did a great job as he always does. Sorry he can't stay and enjoy the rest of it, but duty calls. See everyone in April. Donna |

Roger & Delores.....thanks again for a wonderful evening and you had it all put together as in "first class" as usual, including your playing Roger. We sincerely hope that you both had a great "Happy Anniversary" and we wish you many more to come and God's Blessings.....Clovis & Vivian it was so good seeing you both again and also Scott & Teresa Henderson. Some special highlights we really enjoyed were "Nite Life" by Scotty,he put so much feeling into his singing,Tim Mccutchen playing "Crazy Arms" had some great licks in his playing and also "In the Garden".Tim,you have always played great, but you must have a heated wood shed, becuz you can tell you spend alot of time practicing Donna & Dana we really enjoyed your singing together, what precious moments to treasure! Jerry Roller & Virgil Pittman, sorry I missed your set as I left to spend some time with my daughters for pizza.Austin & Jerry Newberry we love to hear you play anytime and everytime !! (WIPE OUT by: Austin Stewart)haha. That was great!!! Mike Spaeth & Bobby Garrett you did some fine playing too and the back-up band,thank-you!And last, but not least my husband Ray amazes me everytime. The songs he played "I Never Go Around Mirrors"and "Welcome to My World" were very touching to me.I could spends hours listening to him sing & play. Also a big Hats Off to Donley Harrington as sound man,a fine job you done and are doing for the club.If I have missed anyone,I still want to say thank-you and all the supporters. And Larry King we want to wish you a great big "Happy Birthday" and many more to come and I know it's not until Feb.16th,but it's better early then late. Like they say, "the older" the violin-the sweeter the music....

I would just like to add our thanks to Roger and the NEOSGA for a great evening of Steel guitar music and fellowship. As stated in the previous post all of the players did an outstanding job. It was so good to have the opportunity to listen to some of my old friends play and to hear and meet some new (friends) players. We are really looking forward to the show in April. If there is anything we can do to help just let us know. Clovis & Vivian |

Thanks for the kind words. I had a great time being back after not being at the jam in November. Everyone played great. I would like to thank the backup band. I played a couple of "way out" songs and they never missed a beat. Larry King on bass (HAPPY BIRTHDAY LARRY!!!!), Dwayne Carger on drums, and Mac Bellingrath on guitar. Thanks again. I'm looking forward to the Convention in April. |

You guys are too kind....this was very well attended I thought...perhaps the best I've seen for a jam. My thanks to my hero Jerry Roller for helping me "countryfy" a normally stiff, starchy song " It Is Well With My Soul".......turned it into a four four shuffle, we did. And thanks to my buddy McCutchen for trusting us on "Watch What Happens"...he scalded that one...and Scotty..well, he just brings a lot of great chops and swing tunes and ENERGY to the stage and also, sang his you know what off on "Night Life"...a real good singer...and of course there's always the Newberry/Stewart team that pretty well put the icing on the cake. A special thanks to Dwain Carger who played with a sprained foot and certainly had great discomfort...a real trouper. Thanks to Roger and the officers for a wonderful night. |
