I bought a George L 10-1, not even close. the strings hit the pickup.
I know that a 108N will fit in there but getting Emmons to put one together is now seeming like its gonna call for an act of God.
Anyone have 1st hand experience of any lower profile humuckers that will fit in the Legrand 3'?
Thanks!

Most guys file down that part that gets in the way of other pickups. I know my Tonealigners don't fit without dealing with the counter force. The mod is an easy one that doesn't mess anything up.
Maybe an Alumitone would fit. They are pretty flat. _________________ Bob |

anyone care to share any instructions on how and what to do to modify the legrande 3 to accept thicker pickups?
The more detailed the better! (pics too)

The anti detuning plate ( directly under the pickup)on a Legrande III is to thick to allow for most humbuckers. Most humbuckers are not that much thicker than a single coil pickup but need more distance between the strings and the top of the pickup. The alumitones have pretty much the same problem. I know Dan Galysh had the changer mount arms milled down to get enough room for alumitones in his Legrande II.
I did end up getting 108N pickups for my Legrande III from Emmons. I didn't have any trouble getting them, just called, sent paypal and they mailed them to me.
