The January crossword puzzle winner is none other than (drumroll please): Bill Moore, whose name was drawn at random by my dog, Brandy, from all the names of those submitting correct solutions this month. Congratulations, Bill! Bill proves that determination pays off, since he was a runner up last month, having submitted a correct solution then too. Bill, send me an email at jim@jimcohen.com , and we'll arrange for your CD prize.

This month, 7 people had correct solutions. Honorable Mentions go to: Russ Kern, Reggie Duncan, John Fabian, Randy Beavers (or is it Judy? Hmmm...), Steve Hitsman, and Colm Chomicky (who's bound to win one of these days...)

I'll post the solution on my website in a day or so, together with the February puzzle.

Thanks for playing!

Jim,
I prefer that the road to victory not be easy as there is no gratification in instant gratification. With each completed entry, I am amply rewarded in the wisdom I gain, as with each passing month I am brought one step closer to being that able-footed veteran barely worthy of travelling your arguous path of destiny. Although my scars are many, may I continue run your gaunlet each month and then and only then when the steel gods shine upon me, will it be fitting and proper that my name be choosen to grace these walls of honor.

Jim, No help from Bill on this, but I am honored by any comparison. I have yet to reach that high plateau.

The solution to January's puzzle has now been posted over at http://www.jimcohen.com

We're having technical difficulties with the February puzzle, so don't fill it out yet. I'll let you know when it's safe to get started.
