What a show!!! What a great way to start 2004. The JAM featured Jody Sanders, Jerry Barnaba, and Tim Marlin with members of the Cowboy Jazz Band for back up. Larry Schoppe did a real fine vocal. Then the "Big Guns": Doug Boggs and the Cowboy Jazz Band. Doug Boggs-vocals, Bobby Bowman-Steel guitar, Don Lacy-drums, Don Carroll-keyboards and sax, Charlie Knight on bass, and Biily Phelps on lead guitar(sitting in for Keith Peel) with Finis Speir sitting in on fiddle. Doug sang his "brass" off and the band furnished perfect back up. That red Emmons guitar was really honking. A special thanks to Doug Boggs and the Band for being kind enough to come out and entertain us. also thanks to Finis for helping out on the Jam. Was nice to dee Frank Juricek and Rick and Jack Russman in the audience. Also Bud Phelps honored us in attendance. Thanks to everyone, especially Billy and Patty Phelps, for their help, and to The Music Center in Conroe for under-writing the mail out notification. Thanks again to everyone. Next meeting will be Feb. 15th. See you in Feb. Jody,Billy, Patty, and Bob.[This message was edited by Jody Sanders on 27 January 2004 at 08:01 PM.]
