Just got home from seeing Jeremy Wakefield with the Lucky Stars at the "Farmers Market" in West Los Angeles courtesy of my good friend Chance Wilson who gave me the ride up there. What a terrific Western Swing Group ! Jeremy was playing a double necked Rickenbaker, not sure of the year. Jeremy just keeps getting better and better ! Also got to meet and talk with another Steeler, Chris Lucker. We all sat at a table off to the side of the Bandstand and really enjoyed the evening.

Hear, hear! He was playing some gorgeous stuff on the Sho-Bud tonight as Jeremy was rockin' the Ricky down South. Funnily enough, I heard a second or two from the Farmer's Market show via a cell phone video sent to Russ' brother-in-law, believe it or not.
It's an honor to know so many outstanding steelers.
the next album ?

Caught a FINE show by them in PDX here a couple Sundays ago.
GREAT Playing by Russ and the guys. A Nice 2neck stand up Ricky through a tweed Magnatone topped it all off.

Billy, Sir, it was a great pleasure meeting you and providing some interesting context to what was going on in the steel and Western Swing world back when you were a teenager and in your early twenties.
What is your secret for still having your youthful appearance?

Hi Chris: My supposed youthful appearance was due to chasing Women. I never could catch them but it kept me in shape ! I enjoyed meeting and talking with you and hope to see you again.

Anybody know what tunings JW is rockin' on that rick?

Jesse:
I think it was a C6th and a C# Minor. Possibly on both tunings he had a little string on the bottom but I did not look that close to see what they were or what they were tuned to. He asked me to sit in but I came out to listen and not to screw up their terrific arrangements.
