Well, there are several different models of Evans amps out there. If you are asking about the FET-500, here are the setting I use with a Mullen, with an Alumitone pickup:
Depth: Off
Expand: On
Bass: 7.5
Body: 5.5
Treble: 1 - 1.5
I also have a Williams, with a True Tone single-coil pickup. With that guitar, I might bump up the Bass to 8 and the Body to 6.
Take your time moving those knobs. Don't jump from 7 to 8. Stop at 7.5 and give it a listen. _________________ Lee, from South Texas - Down On The Rio Grande
There are only two options as I see it.
Either I'm right, or there is a sinister conspiracy to conceal the fact that I'm right.
Williams Keyless S-10, BMI S-10, Evans FET-500LV, Fender Steel King, 2 Roland Cube 80XL's,
Sarno FreeLoader, Goodrich Passive Volume Pedals, Vintage ACE Pack-A-Seat |

I also have a Williams with a George L SS10 pickup. I play it through a RE150. My settings are as follows:
Buff 2 REV 5/7 Bass 3.5 Depth @ 3 O'Clock Body 7.5 Expand is up and Treble is a 2.5 I play through the original 10 inch speaker and have a 15 deltalite extension in for expansion in large rooms. I keep the volume under 6 and master is usually around 3 to 5 depending on the venue/ room size and volume of the band I'm working with . Awesome set up .
I totatly agree with Lee. Take your time and move in small quanities when aquiring your desired sound. These amps have so much shaping room. A 1/4 of a point can make the difference. Once you aquire your desired sound it takes very little to tweak from room to room . |

Input #2, both switches up, treble 1.5, body 5.5, bass to taste 4-8. Reverb to taste for studio. Use effects loop with processor for stage. Best wishes - DJ - |
