NV-112 Knob "Protectors" Really Great product

I just recently got a pair of a NV-112's and bought some Knob "Protectors" from George Kimmery in east Tn. These things are very practical and will get the job done so you won't lose your knobs from carrying the amp around. I play mostly one nighters and when we load out it could be anybody carrying my amps and I don't want the knobs to be lost from bumping them around. You can very easily lose them from just leaning over the amp if you have them stacked like I have to at one particular gig as there is no room to set them side by side. I don't know why Peavey would make the amp with this cut-out but they should correct it pronto as it's a serious design flaw IMHO! Here's some pictures of what Georges "Protectors" look like and they're cheaper than anybody elses by a long shot too. Call George at 423-747-6259 and he'll treat you right. Bill Poe uses one of these amps and I think he's lost two or three knobs off his!

I don't know why Peavey would make the amp with this cut-out but they should correct it pronto as it's a serious design flaw IMHO!

It is cut out so that us old fogies can see the knobs!

Also, the cabinet happens to fit most of their other amps with 12 inch speakers.

Peavey is trying to keep production costs down. We cannot expect them to run a "special" cabinet for our steel amp. They do not sell nearly as many Nash 112s as the other guitar amps.

We're lucky they still bother to produce the 112, as it has very little sales compared to their other stuff.

Yeah, I say just buy or make a knob protector and be happy.

Or better yet, be careful when loading and unloading your amp!

Thanks to Mike and the guys at Peavey for continuing to produce the 112.

I would hate to see the 112 go the way of the Nash 1000!

George's product is called the George Guard.

Jim Eaton builds the Knob-Guard.

For crying outloud, is everybody here a critic or do you just not have enough to keep you busy? You can make all the excuses you want about that amps design but the facts are knobs get broken off all the time and you shouldn't have to go out and buy something additional to protect them when it should come that way from the manufacturer! I said it was my opinion and damn it, it is! As for the name of George or Jims product, just get a life and don't attempt to hijack this post! I'm trying to pay a man a compliment here and you guys seem to have the need to stick your nose in my business and I flat don't appreciate it! I don't think anybody here is getting rich from making these "protection devices" or whatever you want to call them and it shouldn't be a big deal and certainly not to somebody who isn't even involved with it! B0b you can close this post.
