I'm looking forward to this show. I'll be bringing Les Severs again to sing and hopefully Lucy Simms from the Tim Gillis Band to do a few numbers. That way I can do my favorite thing by backing up these two great singers.
Les will do some of his own past hits plus a Ray Price tune or two and Lucy will do a few
we "borrowed" from the Time Jumpers.

Here's a bump for Bob Maickel and the PSGA. Ben, it will be great to see you again and to hear Les bring back some great memories.
Mike Gross is our terrific M.C.

Thanks Mike for the many years you have dedicated to promoting the Pedal Steel Guitar Association and the players of the instrument we love, not only from your Swingin' West radio show, heard world-wide on the Internet, but also through your dedicated service for more than 25 years as our Master of Ceremonies at our annual Steel Guitar shows.
Mike we look forward to your being with us at the Doubletree Hotel in Norwalk, CT on November 6th and 7th to handle the M.C. chores.
By the way, Mike has a wealth of detailed info about individual name steel guitar players, than most of the rest of us who play the instrument. He does not play steel,he is a radio personality, who is totally involved with what steel guitar has done for Western Swing and Country Music. You can hear Swingin' West each Saturday on WVOF-FM in Connecticut or on the Internet at:

This is going to be another great show by the PSGA.
37 years of honest to God, top entertainment. There's nothing else around here like it. Two days of "Steel Guitar Heaven", where you can get up close and rub shoulders with the greats. We've worked hard to present this show.... don't miss it. It's going to be a blast.

Definately looking forward to seeing Robby Turner.
But I still have to ask the question...
Where's Herby?

by Ben Lawson
I think Herby decided to sit this one out. He's been doing shows all year and I'm sure he needs a break. He said he'd be back next year.

I think Herby's playing the Central Kentucky Show which is the same weekend.
CT Show

No, the CT show has always been one of my favorites and I really hate to miss it, but Jeff DeMaio said they wanted to bring up some different players this year since I have been there so many times.
