I have just bought a 8string Melobar Rattler, and would like to have some info on it,such as poss year,what picup was used,what brand of tuners etc.They don't have a web page anymore but there must be some info floating around somewhere???

I have a Tele plus telecaster, Larrivee acoustic. Also have a Fender resonator guitar with new Quarterman cone and spider, and an Allan tailpiece .Playing through a Fender Super Champ XD, using a little delay on the amp and a Harmonix Holy Grail Echo pedal, set on Hall turned to about 1pm.Just Bought a Yamaha FGX5 Recently and love it. Recently got a Sho-NUFF 6 string pedal steel in open G.Still learning.Just bought back my old SX lap steel that i modified, in open G |

If you can't find someone who worked at Smith Family Instruments/Melobar then you'll probably not get much of a response. Melobar used Kent Armstrong pickups on their lap steels for the most part - it should say the name right on the pickup.

| Carl...Post a picture..,my Melobar had a Paul Barth pickup. You can also search "Melobar" in the "insturments for sale" section. You can get alot of info compairng your guitar to what has sold. A.J. |
