I just bought an Emmons 1987 push pull ST10 (waiting for it to arrive) and was thinking about buying a Pac Seat. Are they all the same height and what do you do if your to tall or short? Do you just adjust the Guitar to suit your height? I am 6' 1" and my torso is in proportion to my height so I guess I am a normal 6' 1" guy. Will any Pac Seat do the job?
thanks for any advice you can give me.[/b] |

Larry, any pak a seat will do the job, but you really oughta do yourself a favor and check out Joe Naylor's http://www.steelseat.com/ His seats have a firm foam foundation that's so comfortable you won't believe it. He can add levelers on the legs, too. You'll be able to find your exact fit. Good luck and congratulations on your Emmons.

I just about do not what to say. I can build them any height you want.
I am 6' so can guess - mine is 20" (before I sold it) - but just sent one to a guy on the east coast that was 6' 1" and just emailed me that he likes his new seat. He got it Friday and played 2 gigs on it. The firm cushion is a standard and MOST people like it after they have sat on it for a while.
My email is joe.naylor@att.net (also see my web site to decide which model www.steelseat.com )
Thanks again guys

I live in Norway and I'm traveling to california next week I might be interested in the"Lite Model with a Back Rest still fits under an airplane seat"
Does this mean that the light model qualifies as hand baggage on overseas flights? |

Joe's seats are great. He will install wheels if you like, which makes it easy to move around. I recommend this idea. You just pull it like luggage.
Also, I was at the St. Louis show and saw a seat made of Aluminum. It was also very nice and extremely light. This would save lots of money on shipping if you travel by air. It had a fold down back rest and had a metal cover with a handle that went over the top so it was very sturdy. The gentleman was from the UK which would be easy shipping for you Arne |

That was one of my objectives when I started the Lite seat (plus being light weight)
The dimensions are 14 1/2" x 18" x 11 1/2" high (with the back rest folded down)for travel
my email is joe.naylor@att.net
I can let you know what I have in a few in stock right now.

Well I'm back from my trip to USA where I picked up my Steelseat from Joe Naylor in Phoenix. Joe was nice enough to meet me at the Motel where we were staying. What a nice and friendly guy. Wish I had more time to spend with Joe in Phoenix. Hope to meet him again some day.
I bought the Lite seat so I could bring it on the plane as hand luggage. I didn't have any problems on any of the planes. Just a lot of admiring smiles from the customs officers and flight attendants who were curious as to what this was.
The seat is very well build, solid, and it looks very elegant. The cushion is just amazing so firm yet so very comfortable, much, much better than the mushy keyboard seat I had been using. The back rest fit me perfectly and really helped with my posterior. I'm about 5' 8'' and the height of the seat was spot on. I used the seat all last night when I got home and I'm a very happy camper. Both my butt and back are thanking me...
If you don't have a steel seat yet, get in touch with Joe Naylor, you won't regret it. |

Arne - I will always have a story that starts ---- "You ain't gonna beleave this one" (that is the difference bewteen my stories and a fairy tail that starts out "Once upon a time")
"You ain't gonna belive this one ----- BUT there was this guy from Norway that wanted a steelseat so bad he flew right over here to Phoenix to pick it up."
As you found I like to make a joke out of a stuation.
It was great to meet you and your wife plus your friends and enjoyed talking to you guys. Hope you come over to the Phoenix show some January. That would be great.
Thanks again
