I believe that Perley(the spelling on the album credits)Curtis is originally from Maine, I remember him playing Bluegrass Dobro with Fred Pike and the Kennebec(sp?)Valley Boys years ago.

No but I love her voice. Thanks Sirius/XM for showing me who the "real" country stars are.

What's YOUR view on this?

There's a current television commercial for some car company, possibly Subaru, where the guy and gal are out in the outback and can't locate their new car.
They keep honking its horn but due to echoes, cannot locate the car.

The voice in the background is of a female singing a little country song. She sounds really country. Any idea WHO she might be or if she's already made her mark? OR, was she merely a walk-on off of the street? THIS WAS SUPPOSED to go SOMEWHERE ELSE. Sorry!

Ray, not real sure about this, but it sounds like a lady by the name of Robin Ella. We had her down one year for our annual Flatbed Jam. Funny you mentioned this, because we were just talking about this the other night. Sorry for the hijack Ron.

Well, I certainly don't want to take credit for someone else's hard work' but I did work with Becky for a number of months on the "Charlie Douglas Road Gang Tour". She was a fine singer and performer, even then.

I worked with Becky on several TV shows out here in NZ in the mid 80's, and also did a couple of festivals with her as well - she was a great singer, and really good piano player too - has written some awesome songs.

I saw Perley Curtis live here in New Hampshire a couple of years ago--spoke to him--top notch picker. He is from Maine originally and he did play for Loretta for a few years. He told me he wasn't playing for anyone steadily, but had his own projects in the works. I haven't heard anything about him since.

Looks like Perley is an Andy Williams fan: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AbPcQS0VvNI notice the Becky Hobbs quote in the comment section. Here's another: http://www.youtube.com/user/nashvillesh ... Wbb2LfYjZ0
