I just returned a Rondo SX that I had just bought because one of the tuning pegs was defective. When I went to reorder it on Rondo's website (www.rondomusic.com) I couldn't find the right page. Did a search, etc.
No longer there!!
Went to Google and did a search. Every retailer says the Rondo SX is no longer available, out of stock, etc.
Anyone know whether Kurt intends to stop selling the popular model? Or were the latest line defective, like mine, so he recalled them all?
P.S. I ended up buying on of his Labradoodles (http://www.rondomusic.com/labradoodlenat.html). Gotta be as good as an SX, if not better, for the extra $20. |

I believe he sold out of that particular model. It's not discontinued, he just sold as many as they made. Perhaps he'll get more in (I would if I were running the company), but you should contact him to get details.

I had defective tuners on mine as well as a bad bridge, but glad I sent an e-mail instead of returning the guitar. The defective parts were shipped to me asap and I got it going.
I am eventually going to replace the tuners with something good, and also the bridge. I am thinking of doing a string through for more sustain and better tone. I like the guitar, and I hope they will stay with the same style as I like the size. The case is really nice.

Did you sign up for his email newsletter? Seems he brings things back from time to time, and improves on them. I'd just watch the newsletter and eventually you may see what you're looking for again.

Thanks. I'm not a patient person so I ordered Rondo's Agile Labradoodle. (Yeah, I know -- it sounds like a dog!!) The price is only $20 more than the SX. It arrived today and I may be biased but it is one beautiful lap guitar. The pickup is much improved over the SX and the sound is much nicer. I'm very pleased. Highly recommended.
