Has anyone else tried these GHS C6 string sets?. I have just put a set on my New Yorker and I am rather impressed particularly since I have been having difficulties getting unwound 3rd strings and these sets actually have 1st - 4th string unwound.

Unwound
E - .015
C - .017
A - .022
G - .026
Wound
E - .030
C - .036

(I actually tune the 6th to C#)

I have found that they seem well balanced and that they stayed in tune after just one re-tune.

Ray,
I used them for awhile. They are, as you say, well balanced and they do stay in tune forever. Just never could get accustomed to that plain .026 (G). I still use GHS on my guitar and pedal steel, but for my lap I use the Jagwire C6 set these days.
