Just got my Peavey Delta Blues back from the shop. Had them install a Jensen P15L from the 60's that I had laying around. It came from an old Kustom cabinet. L means leslie. I guess they used them in leslie speakers. Huge honkin magnet. Night and day difference in the sound. The low end is clear, with a voice loud and proud like it means it, and the mids honkin, and the highs sparkle without being brittle and harsh. I highly recommend to anyone who has this amp to get rid of the blue marvel and get a Webber or Jensen or something that will really bring out all the amp has to offer. I really like playing this amp now, where before it was more utility. My fav is my 6V6 modded Blues Jr, but it just doent have enough power to keep up with my rockabilly slap bass guys Ampeg and the guitar players 60w Bassman. Really happy with this amp now. I play a 40's Gibson Consolette D8 through it and it is a blast, plus it looks the part. The Emmons pedal may work at low volume church gig, but still to low watt for the big rig, may use it though just to see. Anyone else have the same experience with the Peavey Delta Blues?

I've got one that I obtained after I quit live giging.I thought, too, that it needed a better speaker and if I were to go back out I would definatly upgrade.
