9 Volt Adapter input

A friend has a Match Bro that has a jack for a nine volt adapter and accepts a mini jack like ear phones.
Anyone know if these may still available or of I take a 9 volt adapter and install a mini ear phone jack on it will it do the job for him? Or even replace the input to accept a one spot plug?

I have a vintage reissue TS808 that also uses a mini plug for 9V power. I am using a one spot power supply on my pedal board for six string. I am using this adaptor to power it:

You could make one as you say (using caution to get the polarity correct) but I carry a spare one of these in my accessory bag. I can use just about any 9V power supply with any pedal/device this way and always have a back up. I carry a spare daisy chain power cable as well.
