Larry,
I've been wondering the same thing. The last I'd heard, he was going to start making aftermarket parts for steel guitars......... Don |

It is my understanding that Bud retired about a year before John passed. I recall John telling me that Bud was spending more time doing non steel guitar building activities..like other fun !

A couple of months ago, Bud graciously agreed to do some "special" work to one of my guitars. When I took the guitar to him, he showed me the building they have for the "Trinity Jamboree". The building is on the west side of Trinidad, next door to the Dairy Queen. They have a good set-up for the show which is on Saturdays. I am sure his phone is listed in the Maybank directory.
He seemed to be in good health and enjoying life.
Since I have owned these two guitars, I have not let anyone else touch them. |
