Very cool 62 Duo Jet, original finish and binding have seen better days, but the guitar itself is super cool and would make someone real happy.
This guitar was found in an attic of an abandoned house in Wyandotte, OK. It was discovered by a worker while the house was being demolished. Who knows how long it was there, but it sat through some hot summers and cold winters while there.
From what i can tell, it needs the following:
-New binding
-New switch and pot
-Pickguard
-Pot cover (back)
-Trem Arm
-One strap button
-2 new Gretsch knobs (It has one original knob, two are brass Tele knobs)
Filtertron Pickups read in the low to Mid 4olms range.
Needless to say, it is one of my favorite finds this year but i dont have time for another project. It has the original case (with some tape), neck is straight as an arrow, and with a few fixes this would make one sweetheart of a guitar.
