I am helping a friend sell his lap. What would be a fair price for it?
It may be a SD-6 Model, steel body.
Thanks in advance!

I can't tell you what a fair price would be, but I can give you some facts from eBay sales for the last few months. Here are some auction results for some SD-6's:

sold $425 8/9/10
not sold, no bid $839 8/6/10
sold $356 7/5/10
not sold, didn't meet reserve $351 6/22/10 (same item as above)
not sold, no bid $600 6/15/10
not sold, no bid $839 6/3/10
not sold, no bid $839 5/4/10
sold $380 3/4/10
not sold, no bid $500 2/27/10 (same as item above)
sold $480 9/25/09
sold $832 5/20/09
sold $680 5/4/09
not sold, no bid $795 4/29/09 (same as item above)

My conclusion: it would sell on eBay for $351, it won't sell for $839, the median sale price is $453.
